Kris Pooley was an additional touring keyboardist and accordionist for the Pumpkins during their 2008 tour. On February 16, 2008, Billy announced at their show that Kris and Ginger were engaged. They were married June 22 of that year. The following April, the band announced that Ginger and Kris were expecting a baby, who was born that October. In March 2010, Ginger left the band.

Kris is also known for his work with Gwen Stefani, Jane's Addiction, Liz Phair and Morrissey. He is currently musical director for Glee Live, for which Ginger also plays bass.
