1.4a Flamewars and Crossposting
It is generally considered in poor taste to post personal attacks on other
people online, also known as "flaming". If you have a disagreement with
someone, try to argue objectively with the content of their post, not by
calling names or insisting that their opinion is invalid. Remember that
everyone is entitled to their own opinion, even if it's different from your
own.
Crossposting, the act of posting the same message simultaneously to multiple
forums, was a feature of Usenet newsgroups, which are pretty much dead now, as
web-based forums have taken over the bulk of online discussion, and do not have
such a feature. Still, posting the same message separately to multiple forums
is equally frowned upon. This is similar to spamming, and may cause your
messages to be deleted.
